I want to encourage you guys’ anxiety, and stress levels are very high this time because a lot of you are starting back to work, we have a big population of teachers that are here. A lot of us parents are nervous with virtual school ending mask mandates changing and Rona is still ever present.
So I just want to encourage you and to give you a couple of signs of anxiety. So, a lot of people are starting to experience anxiety that they have never experienced before. Just know that anxiety can be your heart racing really, really, really fast out of the clear blue and for what seems to be no reason. We call that palpitations. You can have this nervous stomach just like I can’t get my stomach right? I feel very nervous. I feel like with any little thing I have to run to the bathroom. I have to feel like I’ma throw up, feeling or that my body is getting hot. You can’t get the thoughts out of your mind feeling like this, always something to do.
Does any of that sound like you!???
So, if these are some symptoms that you’re starting to deal with, on a regular basis, I challenge you to contact your doctor, talk to your doctor. There are some things that are non addictive, that you definitely can take that can help you there. Some therapists specialize in cognitive behavioral therapies. Let’s just start talking to a therapist. With what seems to be going backwards we may not be able to do our self care as much as we desired.. So I just wanted you to know that anxiety is real. And if you have palpitations, if you are sick at your stomach, you know you’re nauseated, you have sweaty palms, starting to get a lot of headaches, and you’re not sleeping at night, maybe you should talk to your healthcare professional.
